I forgot about this....

I was looking over www.FreshAirMedia.com and found this picture I had forgot about.

This was taken / tweaked by Shawn Hull.

Very cool.

A Day in the Life ... Everything you want to know about what I'm up to!

Hi everybody! Michael has been begging me to start "blogging" ... you know how he gets about this stuff, it's so fantastic to him! Since everyone has been so sweet asking about my recovery, and since Michael is dying for me to start using this thing, I thought I'd put the two together and publish my very first post. Read at your own risk - I've got a lot to catch you up on!

My second t-bone surgery was July 1, so as of right now I'm about 9 weeks out. I'd say I'm progressing well, although I'm still not back to the same shape I was before the surgery. I started physical therapy again (4th time around!) 3 weeks ago, and I think it's helping, though slowly. It's at least opening my eyes to problems I didn't know I had - and teaching me how to deal with those. I've been living with this pain for almost 3 years now, and because I've spent so much time over-compensating for it (i.e. standing, kneeling and just being weird) I've put a lot of strain on other joints, ligaments and muscle groups. I'm thankful to learn so much about how the body works, because eventually, I'll be in terrific shape and I'll know exactly how to stay that way! Right now, I'm studying trigger point therapy and the egoscue method along with my regular daily exercises and stretches. All in all, I work out for at least an hour a day.

When I'm not working my own body out, I'm diligently working my puppies out! :) Sammie developed a bit of a weight issue (according to the vet). Not fat, just pleasantly plump IMO. So I'm making sure to exercise her every day. It's so great to live here because there's so much room for them to run around. I think she's lost about 10 pounds. Here's a day in their life ... (Lucky me)

I'm getting used to the fact that I may not ever be able to return to a "real" job. I still have a lot of trouble sitting, thus driving is out of the question. So, I've been working from home on HisSites.com (I run all the backend stuff and might get into sales too) and thinking of my own businesses to start. I will hopefully begin teaching piano lessons soon. We've worked really hard to get our "Studio El Dorado" looking good (ps: come up for a jam session any time). Michael and I are also working on starting our own business together - we're called The Web Hounds - watch for our new site coming soon. We'll do a combination of web site development/management, and search engine optimization/marketing. I'm taking lots of online classes to learn what the heck I'm talking about - right now I'm learning XHTML, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Google Adwords (and some affiliate programs) and all about search engines. I'm hoping to do my very first site for my piano lesson business (PianoPal.com). Right now I manage our One Life Christian Church site using Macromedia Contribute and Dreamweaver.

So I guess it's official --- Michael's computer-nerdiness has finally rubbed off on me. We all knew it was just a matter of time.

Well, that should catch you up to speed. Drop me a line anytime -- I'm pretty much ALWAYS here. -- Sharon

HisSites.com - Our Latest Project

You might have heard Sharon and I talking about this site we have been working on called
HisSites.com. This is a new "Online Christian Business Directory" that we built with Walt and Cheryl Dobrowski.

Just think
Christian Yellow Pages but online. Walt is also very big on small business networking.

I built the site and Sharon maintains it. It has been live for about 4 months now and is growing.

So if you have a need for anything from
accounting to new windows Check HisSites.com 1st and let us know what you think!

Bad Snake!

When I found him, he was closer to the door jamb, my leg was two inches from his head, and he was all curled up in strike position! His toungue was flickering at me, and was looking right at me!
